Stamford owns a 2 ½ game lead over Trumbull and Norwalk, which are both 7-4. Stamford has won seven straight entering its game Tuesday against Norwalk. Stamford opened its weekend with a 6-3 win over Trumbull. Logan McCullough earned the victory, pushing his record to 4-0. The difference was pitcher Ryan LaJoie in Monday's battle showdown at Norwalk High School in a Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League game. The Norwalk Riptide right-hander fanned 15 batters and allowed two hits as the Riptide earned a 3-1 victory. New Owners Love Tennis, Swim Club in Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — Aurelie Udall believes there are better days ahead for the Long Ridge Club's swim and tennis facility. "The potential of this place,'' says the club's director of tennis, "is amazing." Udall, a Stamford resident who formerly worked at Intensity Fitness and Tennis in Norwalk, is part of a new management team at the 15-acre club on Long Ridge Road. When the group saw in May that Long Ridge was available, it made a bid and it was accepted. If everything proceeds smoothly, the sale will be completed next month. The biggest winner, however, was Kids in Crisis, Connecticut's only free, round-the-clock emergency shelter and crisis counseling center for children 17 and under.
