Landscaping Truck Stolen In Darien Found In New Canaan; Gun Not Recovered DARIEN, Conn. -- A landscaping truck with a loaded gun in it was stolen in Darien last week, according to police. The truck was recovered, but the gun and other items in the truck were still missing. The Ford F350 was reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Brookside Road on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 8, police said. The owner, a 60-year-old Stamford man, was doing landscaping work at the house when it was taken, police said. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization consisting of women and men. The Norwalk League sent a questionnaire to each candidate running in the primary. The Monuments and Ceremonies Commission organized a remembrance ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial located behind Middlesex Middle School. Officers responded to the shooting on Ely Avenue at Lexington Avenue at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Officers located a lone victim, who was taken to Norwalk Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Man Killed By Train In Westport Identified As Wilton Priest WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Diocese of Bridgeport is mourning the death of the Rev. Colin McKenna of Wilton, who was killed Wednesday when he was struck by a train in Westport in what was called a possible suicide. McKenna, 50, was struck and killed by a New Haven-bound train just east of the Westport train station at about 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to the MTA.
