Car Rolls Over, Hits Pole On Newtown Avenue In Norwalk; Roadway Closed NORWALK, Conn. -- Newtown Avenue in Norwalk will be closed for four to five hours Friday after a rollover accident where a car hit a pole, police said. The accident was reported at around 9:30 a.m. Friday. A car in the area of 219 Newtown Ave. rolled over and hit a utility pole, causing damage and downed wires, according to police. The driver sustained injuries in the accident, but the extent of those injuries were unknown as of 10 a.m. Friday. Norwalk Man Charged In Car Theft, Running From Cops NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was charged Tuesday with stealing a car on Donna Drive in March that was later involved in a hit and run accident, according to police. Marquise Marrow, 21, was charged with second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal trespass. Norwalk Police, DPW Clear Out Homeless Camp Under Stroffolino Bridge NORWALK, Conn. -- An encampment of about a dozen homeless people were cleared out from under the Stroffolino Bridge on Wednesday morning by Norwalk police officers and DPW workers. Norwalk Police Seek Person Of Interest In Rash Of Car Burglaries NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are seeking the public's help in identifying a person of interest believed to be responsible for a series of car burglaries in the East Norwalk area. Murphy Examines Upgrades At Noroton Heights In Darien DARIEN, Conn. – Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson and U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy met at the Noroton Heights train station Tuesday to discuss newly proposed development projects and improvements needed to transportation infrastructure. New Canaan Man Charged With Taking Money From Sleeping Man In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A New Canaan man was charged with stealing money from someone sleeping on a bench in Norwalk on Monday night, police said. Mark Raducha, 24, was charged with third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 10. Darien Family Returns From Vacation To Find Home Burglarized DARIEN, Conn. -- A home on Hoyt Street in Darien was broken into while the family was on vacation, according to police.
