State Police Take Over Search For Missing Easton Couple EASTON, Conn. -- Connecticut State Police have taken over the search for an Easton couple who disappeared earlier this month. Jeanette Navin, 55, and her husband, Jeffrey Navin, 56, have not been seen or heard from since Tuesday, Aug. 4. They were reported missing to police on Friday, Aug. 7. Easton police began an investigation and searched for the couple throughout the weekend. Man Broke Into Several Darien Cars, Police Say DARIEN, Conn. -- A homeless Stamford man was charged with trying to steal a car and breaking into eight unlocked cars in Darien early Wednesday morning, according to police. Joel Mackinnon, 48, was charged with first-degree larceny, eight counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of sixth-degree larceny, and two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court.
