NBA's Ray Allen Donates Computer Lab To Norwalk's Ponus Ridge School NORWALK, Conn. -- It was a slam dunk for the Ponus Ridge Middle School as NBA All-Star Ray Allen stopped by Friday to unveil a new computer lab donated to the school by his Ray of Hope Foundation. The second-floor lab includes 20 computers and 10 laptops for students to use. Easton Supports Fire Company At Annual Fireman's Carnival EASTON, Conn. -- Hundreds of people gathered outside the fire station on Center Road this week for the annual Easton Fireman's Carnival. The carnival, now in its 79th year, benefits the Easton Volunteer Fire Company. The carnival started on Tuesday evening and concludes Saturday night, and features attractions such as rides, games, food, and a raffle for a 2014 Mustang. "We've had pretty good crowds. Norwalk Man Charged With Threatening To Kill Family NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested Thursday night after police said he barricaded himself in his house and threatened to kill his family. Richard DiPasquale, 54, was charged with threatening and breach of peace and went to court Friday morning. Norwalk Men Charged With Growing Marijuana In Their Home NORWALK, Conn. -- Two Norwalk men were arrested and charged with growing marijuana in their Wilson Avenue home, police said. Jeffrey Rogers, 33, and Jason Pratt, 25, were each arrested on multiple drug charges Wednesday morning, including possession of narcotics, possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession near a school, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two Employees Charged In Stabbing At Norwalk Market NORWALK, Conn. -- Two employees of a Norwalk market were charged with stabbing a man Wednesday night who was harassing patrons outside the Ely Avenue business, police said. Ronny Morel, 18, was charged with first-degree assault and Raimy Morel, 21, was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. Each was held on $100,000 bond and will appear in court Aug. 8. Darien TV 79 Goes Off-Air For Repairs In August DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien's TV 79 will go off the air for a few days in August to undergo repairs after nearly eight years of continuous operation. Rewiring and enhancements are scheduled to take place beginning Monday, Aug. 11. The work is expected to take four to five days, with full-time broadcasting resuming by the end of the week. Norwalk Man Charged With Sexually Abusing 10-Year-Old NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday after police said he sexually abused a 10-year-old child. Mario Morales-Garcia, 37, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $100,000 bond and went to court Wednesday. Police received a report of the sexual abuse on July 26 after the 10-year-old disclosed the pattern of sexual abuse to a family member, according to police.
