Fairfield Prep Helps Bring Christmas To Children In Need FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield College Preparatory School recently held a toy drive for families in the Bridgeport area, in support of the Diocese of Bridgeport Office of Social Concerns. Prep students collected hundreds of new, unwrapped toys, as well as packages of diapers, filling Pedro Arrupe Hall with the items. Members of Prep's squires club helped load the toys into vehicles.

Police received a call Monday from Sears security reporting two shoplifters in custody, police report. Following an investigation at the scene, officers arrested Lucas Rodriguez and the teenage female, whose name is being withheld due to her eligibility for youthful offender status, according to officials. Darien YMCA Cares Club Collecting Gloves, Mittens for Shelter DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien YMCA's Y Cares Club of middle school and high school students met at the Y to complete a number of charitable holiday projects on Saturday, Dec. 5. The group’s activities included making cards for American service personnel, and tree garland for the Darien Nature Center. They also put up the Darien YMCA holiday giving tree, and will be collecting new and gently used gloves, hats and mittens for the Bridgeport YMCA emergency shelter until Monday, December 21. Donations can be made at the Darien Y lobby in a box next to the tree.

The Subaru Impreza, which has been fitted with a 360-degree panoramic camera, was also recently spotted near the Circle Diner at 441 Post Rd.
