Darien Library Hosting Annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library is scheduled to host its fifth annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover on Wednesday, December 16, at 6 p.m. During the event, children’s librarians will host a special story time for children ages 2 and up. Each child can be accompanied by a stuffed animal. When the story is over, the stuffed animals will be allowed to sleep overnight in the library. The following day, participants can return to collect their stuffed animals, along with photos of the fun each animal had during the sleepover. To register for the event, click here.

New Saddle Brook Website Slated For Year-End Debut
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The Township of Saddle Brook is planning to debut the new township website by the end of the year. "We have worked very hard to gather pertinent information in order to provide our visitors with the most updated information possible," Mayor Robert White said of the project. Somers Library Hosting Anime Nights
SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers Library’s young adult program is hosting a monthly anime event beginning Friday, Dec. 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Anime Nights will give teens in seventh grade and up the chance to watch anime from Crunchyroll on the program room’s big-screen TV. SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Somers Library is ushering in the winter solstice with a children’s event on Friday, Dec. 18, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. in the children’s room. Norwalk's Center For Contemporary Printmaking Hosts Holiday Exhibit
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Center For Contemporary Printmaking, 299 West Ave., is holding its 2015 Holiday Cash and Carry Exhibition, where members have the opportunity to offer their works for purchase. Artists receive 50 percent of the sale price, and 50 percent will support programs at the Center. The exhibition will be on display Dec. 17 through Jan. 3, 2016.

Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Route 9A Near Multiplex Cinemas ID'd
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- The motorcyclist heading north on Route 9A who was killed after crashing into a car going in the opposite direction at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday in Hawthorne has been ID'd. Verplanck resident Sean Peterson, 44, was riding a 1995 Harley Davidson when he crashed into a southbound Honda Accord, attempting to turn left onto Old Saw Mill River Road, according to lohud.com. A passenger in the Honda Accord was also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries the report said. The investigation of the crash, which caused a traffic tie-up, is continuing. 12 Pipeline Demonstrators Charged With Trespassing In Buchanan
BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- About 12 protesters were placed under arrest on trespassing charges during a demonstration against a natural gas pipeline on Saturday, News 12 reports. The demonstrators are concerned about the pipeline's proximity to the Indian Point nuclear power plant, according to News 12. The protesters, who have alleged that two of the nuclear facility’s reactors are unlicensed, want the plant to be shut down and inspected, News 12 reports. Registration Open For 2016 Eastchester Little League Season
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eastchester Little League registration for the 2016 season is now open for boys and girls age 4 to 12. The league is currently offering a half-price discount for boys and girls ages 4 and 5 who register for t-ball prior to Jan. 1, 2016. LEONIA, N.J. -- Preserving Leonia's Art Heritage will host its third Family-Friendly Bingo fundraiser on Sunday, January 31, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 399 Broad Avenue in Leonia. SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- A total of 17 Saddle Brook and Elmwood Park varsity football players were honored by the New Jersey Interscholastic Conference following the 2015 season. Saddle Brook had 13 players receive honors.
