Loan Outreach Venue For Superstorm Sandy Victims Opens In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- First Selectman Mike Tetreau has announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration has reopened the filing period for anyone impacted by Superstorm Sandy to apply for low-interest disaster loans. The new filing deadline for physical damage and economic injury losses is December 1, 2016. For those who have questions or need assistance with the process, the SBA recently opened a disaster loan outreach center at the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities at 100 Mona Terrace. Stuff A Cruiser Event Rolls Into Wilton WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton police and fire departments rolled off with plenty of goodies in the recent Stuff a Cruiser event. Area residents donated dozens of items for Toys for Tots on Sunday, Dec. 6, at Toy Chest on River Road. Donors enjoyed hot cocoa and cider and a discount at the store. Kids got to tour a fire truck.

Yorktown Police Charge Peekskill Man With Traffic Offenses YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 27-year-old Peekskill resident on a charge of driving with a suspended license. A patrol officer observed a purple Mini Cooper travel through a steady red light Wednesday at the intersection of Route 6 and Sunnyside Street, according to police. The vehicle was stopped, and the operator was identified as Macavery N. Berger, officials report. 'Luminaries' Performance Lights Up New Canaan Church, Ushers In Holidays NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 5 Oenoke Ridge, has been holding a series of activities to celebrate the holidays. West Milford Elks To Raffle Off ATVs At Christmas Event WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- The West Milford Elks will be having their holiday celebration on Saturday, Dec. 19. The festivities will include the lodge's Christmas party, which begins at 3 p.m., and a raffle featuring two Polaris ATVs as the prize. The raffle tickets are $10 each and available at the Elks Lodge, 1860 Union Valley Road. Each ticket has two chances to win. The ATVs are valued at $2,099 apiece. Fairview Ave., is looking for hall monitors for the winter season to patrol the gymnasiums, bathrooms and hallways of the school facilities that are used for youth recreation activities.
