Ridgefield Library Offers Crafts Events To Kids During Holidays RIDGEFIELD, N.J. -- The Ridgefield Public Library is holding three crafts events for children from Monday, Dec. 28, to Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 3 to 4 p.m. Kids will make snowmen picture frames on Monday, hot cocoa creations on Tuesday and snowflake suncatchers on Wednesday. Shelton Senior Center Serves Up Holiday Party SHELTON, Conn. -- The Shelton Senior Center’s holiday party will be held on Friday, Dec.18, at noon. Cost of attendance is $17 for members, and $19 for guests. The lunch menu will include stuffed rigatoni marinara, turkey with cranberry, mayonnaise and gravy, parsley red potatoes, peas and onions, caesar salad, garlic bread, coffee, tea and ice cream for dessert. Motorcyclist Killed In Route 9A Crash Near Multiplex Cinemas In Hawthorne HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist heading north on Route 9A was killed after crashing into a car going in the opposite direction at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday, according to News 12. Officials have not publicly identified the victim, a male who was pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center, News 12 reports. Pompton Lakes Football Players Honored By Conference POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- Six Pompton Lakes varsity football players were honored by the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference for the 2015 season. Senior center Ryan Gosiker and sophomore Drew Flynn were named to the first team. Junior running back Will Verrico and sophomore linebacker Kyle Shafer made the second team. Junior Cole Harriet was an honorable mention. The Cardinals competed in the Liberty Division this season, finishing 4-5. The division was won by Glen Rock.
