Carlucci Honored At Rockland Jewish Family Service Brunch NEW CITY, N.Y. -- State Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) was honored at Rockland Jewish Family Service's Unsung Heroes Brunch on Sunday, Dec. 6. The senator was recognized for his support of RJFS's Eating Disorder Outreach and Education program. Carlucci was able to secure a $25,000 grant to expand the eating disorder program into high schools throughout Rockland County.

Wcsu Art Students Sell Handmade Ceramics DANBURY, Conn. -- The Western Connecticut State University Department of Art will host a ceramics sale on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 012 of White Hall on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The public is invited. Students in Western’s art department will be selling their hand-made ceramics products at the event. Two ceramics classes comprised of 39 students have produced a variety of functioning, non-toxic plates and bowls. Some of the pieces are made with pigmented clays, while others are glazed.
