Deadline Nears For Yorktown Freshmen Spring Athletes YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Friday is the deadline for freshmen athletes at Yorktown High School to hand in paperwork for the spring season. Sports physicals will be held on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the nurse’s office.  Practice for freshmen teams begins on Monday, March 20.

Cline will take over the same position at Long Island University, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the college in Brookville, N.Y. Cline will become the first woman president at LIU in the 87-year history of the university. She begins her duties in July. Cline emerged as the top choice after a six-month nationwide search.
