Greens Farms' Sean Obi Surpasses 1,000 Point Mark WESTPORT, Conn. – Sean Obi scored 15 points in his first game with the Greens Farms Academy boys basketball team on Dec. 6, 2010. Now, 52 games and 37 victories later, he surpassed 1,000 points for his career. Obi, a native of Nigeria who now lives in Greenwich, scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Monday to lead the Dragons to a 102-40 win over Chase Collegiate. Obi now has 1,001 career points and has averaged 18.9 points during his brilliant career. The junior guard proved it again last month in a girls basketball holiday tournament. Gartner earned MVP honors in leading the undefeated Hatters to the tournament championship in the News-Times Greater Holiday Festival. For her efforts, Gartner was named The Danbury Daily Voice Athlete of the Month. Mahony, a three-year starter, averaged 15.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in December and has led the Trojans to a 3-4 record. But the first-year coach of the New Canaan High School team has his work cut out to bring the Rams back to respectability. Evans, a  29-year-old former star at Weston High, picked up his first career win for the Rams last Wednesday against Trumbull.
