Norwalk-Based Zeus Sends Nine Swimmers To Easterns NORWALK, Conn. ? Zeus Swim Team of Norwalk sent nine Senior Elite Swimmers to the Super Sectionals Championships this past weekend in Buffalo. It was Norwalk's largest representation ever in the meet, which is conducted by Eastern Zone Swimming. Zeus swimmers included Anthony Dell’Isolla, Nick Wargo, Lauren Czulewicz, Eddie Donovan, Stephanie Czulewicz, Olivia Haskell, Katie Wargo, Paige Delago and Andres Ramos. Westport Weston Y Swim Coach Earns State Honor WESTPORT, Conn. -- Betsy Matheney, the Junior Age Group swim coach for the Westport Weston Family Y Water Rat Swim Team, has been named Connecticut Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year. Matheney, who lives in New Canaan, will be honored at a banquet in November. She was chosen by her fellow coaches at this summer's Long Course Age Group Championships. Matheney recently completed her third year with the Water Rat Swim Team, whose 200 young swimmers compete locally and in regional and national competitions. Stamford Junior Legion Wins First State Title STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford American Legion Junior division manager Scott Giorgi set a goal at the beginning of the season to return to the state championship game. The important distinction was that this time, he wanted them to win it. Saturday, Stamford achieved its primary objective.
