Claire Ross kicked home her own rebound for New Canaan’s first goal. Katelyn Sparks and Ryan Mushkin set up the goal with nice passes. Jessica Dolby made it 2-0 late in the first half with an assist from K.K. Marcus. Sparks, Abby Carstensen, Lauren Bisceglia, Mushkin and Kayla Beck added second-half goals. Wilton White 5th Grade Boys' Lacrosse Gets Big Win WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton White fifth-grade boys' lacrosse team defeated Ridgefield, 15-0, in a recent game. Wilton set the tone for the game showing patience and passing by Colin Kroll, Jackson Coyle, Conrad Emerson and Thomas Sullivan that led to a goal by Ryan Schriber.  Sullivan, Kroll, Sean Flanagan and Ethan Grandolfo also connected as Wilton built a 6-0 halftime lead. Fairfield Warde Runner Wins State Open Race FAIRIFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield Warde senior Harry Warrnick has had some splendid races during his career. Monday’s victory in the 3,200 meters at the State Open, however, might have been one of his best. Warnick won the race in 9:12.72, a drop of nearly 14 seconds from his previous best time in the event this spring. Warnick ran 9:26.14 when he won the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship May 22. Fairfield Prep’s Connor Rog took second in 9:18.87. Norwalk Hurdler Captures Elusive State Open Title NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Adam Robertino has been knocking on the door at the State Open the past two years. Monday, he ran right through it. The senior won his first State Open title in the 110 high hurdles, running 14.7 in the finals. He edged Northwestern’s Dan Santalla, who ran 14.74. Santalla and Robertino had the top times in the preliminaries, 14.9. Robertino’s best this year is 14.65. The Norwalk hurdler finished fourth in the race in 2010 and eighth last year. Staples' Wynne Wins 2 Events at State Open WESTPORT, Conn. – Monday’s State Open track and field championships were a meet to remember for Staples’ junior Henry Wynne. He won the 800 and 1,600 for the Wreckers, leading them to a second-place finish with 46.5 points. Windsor won the team crown with 67. Senior pole vaulter Lexie Schachne finished tied for second to lead the Staples' girls team. Wynne had the biggest day, taking the 800 in 1:54.08 and the 1,600 in 4:12.73. Wyne's top time in the 1,600 is 4:10.35, which is ranked 31st in the country. He was far from the only highlight, however, for the boys. The 4 x 400 relay team too…
