Norwalk Cheer Teams Shine in Springfield FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Norwalk-based Xtreme Cheer teams tuned up for the national competition by winning three divisions and finishing second in another last weekend at the Star Spangled Showdown in Springfield, Mass. Xtreme’s winners included Shine, an 18-and-under girls team; Blaze, an 18-and-under co-ed team; and Inferno, a co-ed team for cheerleaders ages 14 and up. Greenwich, Stamford Women Run Well in New York FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Greenwich’s Sharon Vos and Stamford’s Sharon Lemberger won age group awards Sunday at the New York City Half Marathon. Vos captured the women’s 50-59-year-old age group by completing the 13.1 mile course in 1:29.22. Lemberger ran 1:19.27 and finished second in the women’s 35-39-year-old age group.
