Weston Eighth-Grade Girls Fall to Ridgefield Team WESTON, Conn. – St. Mary’s of Ridgefield eliminated the Weston eighth-grade girls basketball with a 32-22 victory in the semifinals of the Fairfield County Basketball League C Division playoffs. Weston, which finished the season 9-12, defeated Brookfield, 33-25, to reach the semifinals. Weston and St. Mary’s split two games during the regular season. Norwalk Cal Ripken League Extends Registration NORWALK, Conn. – Registration for the Norwalk Cal Ripken Little League has been extended until March 15. Tryouts are scheduled for March  17 at Sono Fieldhouse. Players who register by March 15 will not be charged a late fee. Carver Eighth-Graders Fall in Playoff Semifinals NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Carver Center eighth-grade boys basketball team lost to Darien, 61-55, Sunday in the semifinals of the Fairfield County Basketball League AA Division playoffs. Carver finished the season 13-8 under coach Dave Williams. Carver won two games in the tournament, including a 58-44 win against Danbury in the semifinals. Westhill Diver Ends School's Long Title Drought STAMFORD, Conn. – Westhill sophomore Sean Burston has been one of the top age-group divers in Fairfield County since he began working with coach James Bowser when he was 7.
