Greens Farms Girls Soccer Nips King WESTPORT, Conn. – Caroline Vanacore scored in the 77th minute to give Greens Farms Academy’s girls soccer team a hard-fought 2-1 homecoming day win over King on Saturday. It was the third victory in four games for the Dragons, who are 5-1-3 their last nine games. GFA is 10-3-4 overall. Vanacore, a junior from Darien, headed the ball into the goal for the game-winner. Greens Farms Volleyball Rallies to Stun King WESTPORT, Conn. – The Greens Farms Academy girls volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to stun King, 3-2, on homecoming day Saturday. The game scores were 17-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23 and 15-8. Greens Farms (8-4) played excellent team defense against King (11-3), one of the top teams in the Fairchester Athletic Assocition. Greens Farms Field Hockey Clips King WESTPORT, Conn. – Greens Farms Academy’s field hockey team bounced back from a loss to King the previous weekend to defeat the Stamford school, 3-2, on homecoming day Saturday.  Hayley Holzinger, Madison Leonard and Olivia Taylor scored for GFA, which snapped a two-game losing streak.
